Bead and Button Show countdown…..

Thank you to everyone who dropped in to the Whole Bead Show in Vancouver this weekend! It was great to see you and the firefoxes and I had a great time and were thrilled with the show this year. Now we are gearing up for the Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee! Just a few short weeks away and I have lots to do and LOTS of beads still to make! If you are wanting beads before the show, please be warned that there will be a few weeks waiting list as I am trying to catch up on existing orders and I need to reserve beads for the show as well. Can’t show up empty – handed! If you are able to come to Milwaukee for the show, I do hope you’ll drop by our booth to say hello. We will be at booth #1157 towards the back of the hall.

New Beads debuting at my shows this season!

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for dropping in to say hello! I’m busy in the studio these days getting ready for the Whole Bead Show in Vancouver next weekend and the Bead and Button Show the first weekend of June. Yikes! Lots to do! Thanks to you all for your patience with me – I haven’t been able to list many new beads on Etsy or do many auctions on Ebay as I need to hoard some beads for the shows! For those of you who have asked, I will be bringing my new honeybee beads with me to both shows. I will have some available online in the next few weeks as well for those of you who can’t make it to Vancouver or Milwaukee – please hang in there!

Happy Days! Etsy and a new studio…..

Ok, so I’ve been crazy busy and terribly tardy with my blog! So, time for a bit of an update. I set up an Etsy store a while ago and for the past few months have been spending a fair amount of time there. I love, love, LOVE Etsy! It’s a great community of artists and the support has been incredible. I love ebay as well, but have been so busy with my Etsy customers I haven’t had a moment to create new work for ebay. I do plan on listing on ebay again, but it still may be a few weeks ahead. For now, you can see my entire Etsy shop on my “Available Work” page, so I hope you’ll take a peek!
Other breaking news….my new studio is almost complete! I am starting to move my equipment in today! Yay! This studio is a dream come true for me, and was designed with all of my creative needs in mind. For those that have known me for a while, it will come as no surprise that the entire decor of the studio is Moroccan style! I have been in love with the exotic and colorful ryads of Morocco for ever (not that I’ve been there yet – but I will!), and to have my own little oasis to create within is truly a dream come true. I will be posting photos here on my blog (or maybe even dedicate a page of the website) to show you the progress of this fantastical little piece of creative heaven. Stay Tuned!

One last note: I am happy to report that I was juried into the Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee this June! Myself, and two of my very talented lampwork buddies; Stephanie Cannon (www.stephaniebeads.com), and Michelle Lusk (www.calienteglass.com) will be sharing a booth at the show and it’s going to be one heck of a party! If you are coming to the show, I hope you’ll drop by our booth (#1157) and say hello!

Fraser Valley Bead Show

A big thank you to all of you who dropped by to say hello at my booth at the Fraser Valley Bead Show this weekend! The Firefoxes (Stephanie Cannon and Debra Kallen) and I really enjoyed the show. We are looking forward to doing it again next year. Many of you asked what my next show will be. The next large bead show I will be attending is the Whole Bead Show in Vancouver next May. I will, however, be a featured guest artist on Saturday, October 27 at the Little Cricket Gift Gallery in Maple Ridge. Please visit my shows page on the site for information and the address to the gallery! I will be there for the day to meet and greet customers at the gallery and will be debuting some new designs and my fall/ winter jewelry collections. I hope you will drop by and say hello!

I am also currently setting up an Etsy store (new items to be added this week) and will be posting new beads on ebay soon as well. Thanks again to all of you for your patience as I have been busy with preparations for the show these past few months. Lots of new focal beads and bead sets will be featured on my “made to order” section of the website as well so please come back and check out what’s new!

Thank you for dropping by! I am new to blogging and this is my first entry. I hope you will tune in from time to time and have a peek at what’s new! I will be updating the site more regularly with new work, show updates, specials and classes! I would love to hear what you think of the site and hope this will be a great way to keep in touch with all of you.

Right now I am catching up on orders after taking July off (thanks for your patience to all of you who have put in orders this summer) . It’s been a fun summer so far but I have missed being at the torch. I have a lot of great new ideas I am trying out and will be featuring new focal designs as well as some bead sets on ebay soon! I am also going to set up an Etsy shop in the next few weeks so I hope you will check that out as well. There will be a link in the “available work” category on the site as soon as I have the Etsy shop set up.
